An Introduction to Raglan Design

Picture
Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Duration: Three Hours

Taking the leap from knitter to designer is one that many knitters find daunting, but it needn’t be. This class explores the principles and basic fundamentals behind designing a seamless raglan garment.

Using well established formulas and standard sizing charts, participants will learn a number of easy approaches to designing a raglan. We will discuss the basics of grading a raglan garment and how to use and apply ease to your designs.

The class will use a child’s garment design as the example, however the principles explored can definitely be applied to an adult garment design.

Class Requirements: Bring along a pen and some paper to take notes. Some class notes will be provided.
