Learning to Love Your Circulars

Picture
Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Duration: Three Hours

If you’ve ever wanted to tackle seamless knitting and haven’t quite known where to start, this is the class for you.

An introduction to the basic elements of circular knitting is given, along with some of that handy information it is often assumed knitters know; how to knit a tension square (quite different for circular knitting), how to calculate how may balls you need, how to choose the correct size and how to read a chart. We will explore how increasing or decreasing helps to shape circular knit garments. In learning these techniques, knitters will begin working on a sweet vest for a baby using the renowned Milo pattern.

Class Requirements: a 4mm 40cm circular needle and approximately 100g of 8ply/dk weight yarn purchased in store. White Gum Wool is highly recommended.

The pattern will be supplied with the class notes.
